”Come up – slow down” is the motto of Gstaad. So pull on your hiking boots and say goodbye to the workaday routine – but at a leisurely pace. For example, you can spend an hour and a half walking round the Lauenensee Lake which is just 16 km away from the hotel at an altitude of 1,381 meters. The path is mostly level and the views of the lake magnificent.
From the doors of the Steigenberger Hotel Gstaad-Saanen you can set off on wonderful trails along the south slopes of the mountain at an altitude of 1,100 meters. The glorious Waadtländer Alps are always in view! There are some 100 km of excellent quality trails checked for heart and kidney strain. Choose your trails according to difficulty levels, suitability for families or just to suit your mood. The only problem is making up your mind. You have “Alpine trails” that take you to the peaks, undemanding “family trails” that feature barbeque areas and playgrounds, or “panoramic trails” with especially beautiful views.
We will gladly book a guided tour, help you pick a route or provide you with a packed lunch. Our boot cleaning service will take care of your hiking boots when you return.
